Troy Construction is a Residential General Contracting Company, located in El Cerrito California.
Established in 2000, we are committed to serving you with quality and value. We will work with you step-by-step through the entire process from the initial consultation to a successful completion. We work cooperatively and collaboratively with the architects, engineers, design professionals and other contractors that you may have hired during the process.
We genuinely care about your project and your experience. We strive to ensure that our clients are fully comfortable with the project from the beginning to end and we aim to deliver a service that meets the individual needs of every construction project we work on.

Bulent Bas
Bulent was introduced to construction, at an early age, by watching his father build apartment buildings in his hometown of Ordu, Turkey. Bulent was always creating and emulating his contractor father - “I was in awe of the entire process and wanted to be just like him”.
After completing high school he moved to Istanbul to attend Yildiz Technical University, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering. Wanting to further his studies, he moved to the United States and attended Lincoln University where he graduated with a Master’s Degree in Business Administration.
During his master’s program he worked with local contracting firms and this fueled his interest in being a General Contractor. Bulent wanted to bring quality services at affordable prices to families in the East Bay. In 2000, Bulent opened Troy Construction.
Troy Construction is family owned and operated.
What’s In a Name?
Troy (Turkish: Truva or Troya) is an ancient city in what is now northwestern Turkey. Located in Canakkale, this is where the legendary Trojan War took place.
Troy Construction, dba (Truva Construction, Inc.) is named after this ancient city.
